Classroom Management Plan Helping Students Show Their Best Colors
In order to provide students in my classroom with the comfortable learning environment they deserve, the following discipline plan will be in effect at all times. It is my goal to discipline when needed, in a way that is fair and meaningful to the situation, and with plenty of grace. All students names will be placed on clothespins, pinned on a bulletin board. All students will start every day with their clothespin pinned on the BEST BLUE COLOR . Throughout the day, if students choose to not follow any of the classroom rules, they will change colors in this order: GOOD GREEN OK ORANGE YUCKY YELLOW
Extreme circumstances may call for an automatic Yellow. CONSEQUENCES 1. Green = loss of 5minutes/recess/ class activity/ time away from group. 2. Orange = Loss of 10minute recess/class activity, time away from group 3. Yellow = Student will be taken out of the classroom, sent to the office, and parents will be contacted. Parent-teacher Conference may be necessary. Please know that in severe circumstances, a student may find themselves jumping down to a yellow automatically. GOOD WHOLE CLASS BEHAVIOR When the whole class is showing good behaviorthey gain tally marks on the board under a happy face. If as a whole class they are not following rules they earn tally marks under a sad face. At our last recess of the day, if the happy face has more tally marks, students may get 2minutes of extra recess, or choose an inside classroom game. If the sad face has more tally marks, the whole class puts their head down for 2 minutes before our last recess of the day
